How may the SHS Leadership Club have influenced our second notable alumnus? Well, he's been chairman of the Southington Board of Education since 1999. David Derynoski, a town native and member of the Class of 1966, has been on the board since 1991, having succeeded his uncle, Walter Derynoski, on the Democratic ticket when he retired after 41 years of service.
