He filled the vacancy left by Gerry Crean when he left the Town Council for a state rep seat in 1980 and won each successive election in his own right. It's Bob Carbone, a 1950 graduate of Lewis High School and member of the Town Council until losing his seat in 1993. He remains active in town, particularly with the Sons of Italy. And, yeah, that's unfortunately the best photo we had.
