This year marks 35 years since Southington High School moved to Pleasant Street. Yeah, 35 years! Starting next week we will mark this anniversary with a new feature that celebrates that transition all those years ago. We will catch up with teachers who remember packing up boxes in the summer of '74, students who were the last to graduate from the Main Street SHS and those who remember the chaos that the opening of Pleasant Street brought. We will reflect on the last 35 years in photographs, essays and memories from notable grads and teachers and a history timeline that will recollect the news that led up to the first day of school in September 1974. And they'll be contests and prizes to mark the anniversary too!
