It was our New Years' resolution to get back on a regular schedule with the Alumni Photo Album so here goes. Starting next week we will need your help over the next several months identifying individuals and events in some of the photos we have recently obtained. The collection spans more than 50 years so be sure to keep any eye out and get any SHS alum you know to take a look. This week's shot takes us back 16 years to the Southington High School addition, then still under construction. Here members of local boards and commissions gather in the gymnasium to hear about the progress of construction. Among those shown are Tom Langdon of the Town Council, Anthony Pizzitola of the building committee, Edward Pocock III of the Board of Education, Assistant Superintendent of Schools Angelo Coppola, Superintendent of Schools Louis Saloom, Town Attorney David Kelley, Town Councilor Jim Wallace Jr., building committee member George Griffin, Board of Education member Louis Perillo, SHS principal Jerome Auclair, building committee member Edward Delahunty, and board of education member Joyce Kogut. The gym five years later would be dedicated in Delahunty's honor.
