Ralph Riccio, a community icon
-
Ralph J. Riccio, an iconic businessman and civic leader who alongside his twin brother Vito championed the success of the downtown Southington business community as owners of a popular mens' clothing store, has died.

Born in Southington, Mr. Riccio graduated from Lewis High School in 1946. Shortly after he and Vito returned from military service, they set their sights on starting their own business and in 1950 opened what would grow into one of Southington center's landmark businesses. It propelled the Riccio name to become synonymous with downtown Southington and civic involvement.
