ALUMNI PHOTO ALBUM

Sixty years ago Southington prepared for its new high school. As seen in this photo from the 1947 Chronicle, the site at 240 Main St. had been cleared, which included razing homes and the T.A.B.S. Hall. It would be three years before the Southington High School building would be ready for students. The facility would serve 24 years as SHS before the present-day high school opened. The old high school is of course now Walter Derynoski Elementary School.
