Longtime Business teacher,
embattled Social Studies teacher
among short list of SHS retirees
-
Patricia Turner, a teacher in the Southington High School Business Department for more than 30 years, is one of three members of the faculty who left 720 Pleasant Street with the Class of 2009 for the last time last week.
-
Joining Turner in retirement are Social Studies teachers Ann Bendyk and William Boulanger.
-
Boulanger, you may recall, was in the news early in the school year when he was arrested on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree unlawful restraint. He was placed on administrative leave before the start of the 2008-09 school year. (http://www.myrecordjournal.com/site/tab1.cfm?dept_id=592708&newsid=20132704).
-
A former DePaolo Middle School teacher who at one point was the school's interim assistant principal, he is the husband of Kennedy Middle School English teacher Christine Boulanger.
