Victim of Bristol crash
was SHS graduate

The Bristol man killed when a pickup truck smashed into his garage yesterday had grown up in Southington and graduated from SHS.

Jeffrey P. Dziob, 38, attended Southington schools and graduated with the Class of 1990. He later graduated from Central Connecticut State University.

At the time of his death Mr. Dziob was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Having just turned 38 years old on Dec. 5, he leaves a wife and two young children.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle driven by 49-year-old Fran Lebeski struck the garage of Mr. Dziob's Rosemary Lane home. He was transported to Bristol Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Ms. Lebeski was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Calling hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on New Year's Eve at St. Gregory's Church in Bristol.
