Harassment allegations bring arrest
of former Southington superintendent
-
MILFORD - Harvey B. Polansky, who in 2000 guided the Southington High School coaches' sex scandal investigation during his first days as the town's superintendent of schools, has been arrested following an investigation into his own alleged misconduct as Milford schools chief.
-
Polansky, who was suspended with pay on Nov. 15 by the Milford Board of Education after accusations of sexual harassment by two female school principals, turned himself into Milford police yesterday after learning a warrant had been issued for his arrest. He faces two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of breach of peace. He was released on a promise to appear Feb. 2 in Milford Superior Court.
-
Polansky left Southington after seven years in 2007 to accept the Milford superintendent's post.
