FOLLOW-UP: Here's what we have been able to piece together: The photo is from the Homecoming Dance, Oct. 15, 1971. Queen Marcia O'Hala is seen with the girls in her court - Gail Casserella (first runner-up), Chris Gizzo (second runner-up), Michelle Roy (third runner-up) and Luanne Giles (fourth runner-up). In a Meriden Journal article at the time about the dance, Marcia said she was interested in physical education and was set to pursue a career in teaching. For those of us who remember her as Marcia Riccio, one of our SHS phys ed teachers (and current department chairperson), this seems obvious! Thanks to all of you who offered information!
